Land Acknowledgement
We would like to acknowledge that the Assiginack Public Library is located on the traditional lands of the Three Fires Confederacy: the Ojibwe, Odawa and Potowotami peoples of Mnidoo Mnising. We recognize and deeply appreciate their stewardship and historic connection to this place and recognize that we must do more to learn about its rich history so that we can better understand our role as residents, neighbours, partners and caretakers.

On-Site Services
Meeting Room
At the back of the library
there is a meeting room space that can be booked during and outside of library hours, depending on usage and staff availability.

Privacy Booth
Our Solo Nook (also known as the "zoom room" or privacy booth) is available for virtual meetings or a quiet space to work. Outfitted with a fan, USB ports and electrical outlets, it's a great space to meet/work without distractions.
Spice Library
We currently have over 45 different spices in our Spice Library. If you want to try a spice for a new recipe and can't find it locally, we'll be happy to supply you with what you need. We also take requests for spices to be added to our collection.

Our Collections
We strive to provide a varied collection of relevant resources, with a particular focus not only on current and popular items, but on Canadian and Indigenous content as well.
We are responsive to community interests and requests and patrons always have the option to access materials not available on-site through the Inter-Library Loan program, thanks to the Ontario Library Service.

We are in the process of transitioning to a new library management program which will provide considerable user access to what's available at the library, as well as circulation status.
The link to this service will be found below in early November. (Thanks for your patience.)
Spice of the Month Club
On the second Thursday of every month, a new set of information and recipe cards as well as a sample of the "spice of the month" will be available.
This club is FREE and requires no registration.
Simply come on in to the library to pick up your package, while quantities last.
APL Book Club
The library hosts a book club for adults that runs throughout the year.
Each month we meet on the last Wednesday of the month (at 7:00pm) to discuss the book selection for that month. If you enjoy reading, discussing books and hearing what others have to say about them, this group could be for you.
Click on the title or image for a list of this year's selections.

NOTE: Copies of each book are available at the library.
