The Assiginack Public Library has a considerable collection of books, numbering almost 12,000.  The collection includes fiction and non-fiction texts for children, youth, teens and adults.  We have some titles available in large print as well as materials provided by CELA (the Centre for Equitable Library Access) for individuals with print disabilities.

We try to add current materials to our library as often as we can and we purchase books that are requested, when possible.  However, if you are looking for a book that is not on our shelves, and it was published more than a year ago, we can request a copy through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).  Once the request is entered into the provincial system, and the book is determined to be available for lending, it will typically take up to 3 weeks for the book(s) to be sent to our library.  This service is free of charge.
